<p>A major is what you make of it. I have no reason why Political Economics would yield significantly less job opportunities than Economics. It doesn’t make sense. Compare the course list. I’d bet that for the first 2-3 years, the majority of required courses will overlap.</p>
<p>If you are genuinely concerned, however, I would visit department advising with your concerns.</p>
