Political Junkie's Chances

i agree
i def. think you should cut out a few schools. and maybe add tuffs because it is an awsome school for what you want to do. All though its great goingto an IVy school remember not EVERYONE can go to an IVY. it would be impossible. Bottom line, with your list of schools wherever you go you are going to recieve an amazing educations because its what you make of it. I suggest just applying to Tufts...just incase if anything. IF YOU WANT AND DONT CARE ABOUT APPLICATION FEEES GO AHEAD AND APPLY TO EVERY SCHOOL YOU HAVE DOWN. BUT INCLUDE TUFTS AS ONE OF YOUR CHOICES. IF YOU DO GET ACCEPTED...IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A CHOICE.

Oops sorry! FLETCHER SCHOOL OF LAW & DIPLOMACY

Elliot School of International Affairs is at George Washington, and is equally as renowned as the Tufts one. Try that one out too!

I agree with lolabelle and supposed American U too..

Alright, I processed transcripts out to Tufts and Amherst today as more reasonable reaches.

i now have 2 safeties, 2 or 3 matches, and 7 or 8 reaches haha.. I am just shooting for acceptance to 2 or 3 of those reaches

None of your reaches have outstanding political science programs. If you reach for Penn why not reach for Columbia with one of the top political science programs in the country.

im reaching for Penn because of its Politics/Economics/Philosophy major. I am unfamiliar with Columbia's political science program.

I understand there are good programs I am undoubtedly overlooking here. But please, I am at 12 schools, and I have reason behind each school for applying. Some are geographical, some are because of status, others due to programs.

Alright, well your title is Political Junkie, and you are not applying to any great Political Science schools. Look at Columbia, Harvard insted of Princeton, George Washington University, Georgetown and even the University of Maryland.

Brown, Dartmouth and Penn have the worst Political Science programs among the Ivey schools, and if you are a "Political Junkie" you might want to look a bit further.

Another major you might want to consider along with Political Science is Criminal Justice (Id guess that you wouldnt want to quad-major though) but Criminal Justice and Political Science is great for law schools and a future career in politics.

Princeton's undergraduate program as a whole blows Harvard's out of the water. I don't like GW or Georgetown as schools due to location. Harvard/Georgetown are great grad schools that I would like to pursue (law), but I will look into columbia and UofM

Ahhh, good for you for listening about Tufts, at least.
