Hello,

I know that Duke is a national accredited institution for a variety of departments and its research opportunities.

However, as prospective applicant, what is unique about these two Duke programs?

you should check out the focus programs for freshmen students

If PoliSci is your main focus, Duke is great. However, IR is not a program, and ICR (International Comparative Studies - the only major that relates to IR) is sort of a joke. I love Duke enormously, but if you want to do IR (especially combined with PoliSci), go to Georgetown or GW (a lot lower ranks, I know, but incredibly well-regarded in the IR community).

^Why do you say that? IR is a subfield of Political Science and Duke’s Poli Sci department blows Georgetown and GW out of the water.
