what careers are available for someone who has a passion for politics, government, and history? Also, factoring in being strong in math, what does that open?

if you're interested in politics/government/public policy and you're also good quantitatively, maybe you would be interested in working for think tanks, lobbying groups, policy-oriented consulting firms where you could do research. The math would mostly be statistics, maybe econ.

you can also take a summer internship working for the federal government in DC, but be advised that unless you have connections, most internships are unpaid.

bump this up... this situation describes me quite accurately as well.

What types of careers are available and is any education needed beyond undergrad?
