Political Science Math requirement

Are Political Science majors required to take any math classes? I know General Education for the College of Letters and Sciences doesn't require any math, but on the UCLA Political Science website I found this under Preparation for the major:
"Students must also take one statistics course from Political Science 6 or 6R, Anthropology M80, Economics M40, Geography M40, Social Sciences 40, Sociology M18, Statistics 10, Statistics 11, Statistics M12, or Statistics M21C. PS 6 or 6R may be taken for credit and is not considered a repeat of content if another of the listed statistics courses has already been taken."

So do I have to take one of the above classes to cover some sort of statistics prerequisite? I don't really understand what the above quote means, in other words. Any help would be appreciated.

^ yes you have to 1 statistics course from any of the courses given to you stated above. It’s more of a social science statistics class.

I see, thanks conn1ex3. So what exactly is a statistics course from, say, Sociology? I took Stats a while back at a community college, would a Sociology Stats class be similar to that or is it a different approach?
