political science

Can someone talk about the poli science department in rochester? what are the pros? what opportunites are there for students majoring in it

Alberta, Political Science @ UR has always been top-notch. In a recent study, the department was ranked 4th in terms of the number of PhD students it employs at major research Universities. The reason that's important for undergraduates is that many of the upper-level undergraduate courses are cross-listed as graduate level classes. We also have a unique study abroad opportunity where you get to intern either at the European Union parliament or in London. You work for a member of parliament. One of my friends did one of those internships and ended up going to the English countryside to listen to disgruntled voters. Imagine a young American woman being responsible for recording English concerns!

I could go on, but let me know if you'd like to get in touch with one of our Professors.
