Political Sciene Major, Your imput please

I'm a Sophomore in High School, but my bro is a Senior.
So my parents are regretting not pushing him as much. So lucky me! I get the brunt of the assault now.
I am definitely more determined and outgoing then my brother...or in my HUMBLE...heh...opinion.
But yeah, I'm actually joining clubs, so if my parents hadn't pushed me I would still put pressure on myself.
ANYWAYS
I have a rough idea of what I want to do, I want to get an MBA in grad school (my parents are strongly emphasizing the idea of going to grad school). But I wouldn't know what to do as an Undergrad. I researched and found that schools do not like to see an major in Business when your an undergrad, while you are trying to get an MBA. In not so many words, but yeah...they like a diverse background.
I considered Engineering, but I'm ok at Mathematics and the Hard core sciences. But ehh...not my cup of tea, and plus Engineering doesn't really help you in the Business world.
My father suggested Political Sciences, and I thought I would look stuff up. Unfortunately for me, there is not loads of stuff to read about it, unlike Business and Engineering.
I'm not necessarily trying to become a business man, but I might turn that way. I still have several ideas in mind that I yet to formulate.
anyways, my greater question is: I want to go to these schools, which of these is good in Political Science? Do some of the schools I'm interested in even have a political science major?
Is a major in political science a useless major? Can you give me a list of school in which have a prestigious name in this major?...Am i over analyzing this?

by the way, if you haven't noticed. I'm from Dallas, if that changes anything. I'm not asking you to chance me or anything either.

The Schools I am interested in:
Stanford
UCLA
UT
Cal
Cornell
UCSD
UM

any other suggestions are welcome. I know its a little early, but might as well start thinking.
So don't give me any of this "you're to young!" or "It's too early for you!" crap.
I have time to change my mind...and come back annoy you again...:P

Thanks a Bunch

You're too young. Sorry if you think that's a crappy answer, but your question is ridiculous. You and every other sophomore in the world is interested in Stanford - don't bother speculating until you have more grades and a copy of standardized test results in your hand.

Anyway, why do YOU like politics? It doesn't sound like you've done any research on it - it's one of the most popular majors around, so the idea that you can't find information on it is bogus. I mean, asking if they even have a political science major? How much research have you done on poli sci, cause it sounds like none to be honest. It's POLITICS. Turning on your TV should inundate you with it. What do you like about politics that make you want to study it? It sounds like you're just doing what people tell you to rather than seeking out something you want to do.

To be frank your question sounds very, very young. Figure out what you want to do before you ask advice about what colleges to apply to in two years.

Schools around DC: Georgetown, George Washington, American.
Also Tufts.
Consider Rice...location is convenient.

kelseyg is right...this is not the the time for a conversation about your intended major.
If you are at all interested in politics, you have 55 or so days to get involved and make a difference, whether in the presidential race or a local race.
Your primary focus at this point should be a strong academic record in challenging classes. Thinking ahead, you need to ignore well-meaning advice about good careers and start with your own strengths and passions. What do you really like? Which book do you reach for first when you start your homework? What do you read or research about for fun?

Agh rereading my question it sounds meaner than I intended. I was just being frank - it's good you're thinking about these things, but college confidential can make you go kind of crazy if you get too into it especially too young. Just involve yourself in clubs that sound interesting and try to figure out what's best for you that way.

I know it can make me go crazy, but its not something that is constantly running through my mind... I'm really not going crazy. but I guess what i was really looking for is a ranking, which I couldn't find that easily.

I know I'm not young, I really was hoping some of you would refrain from saying that. But I guess research is what I'm doing so if you don't like the the way I asked the question.
I did do research, and I do like politics. I look into the views instead of saying I like this guy because of 'yatah yatah'.
But anyways, I just want some suggestion in schools, not a lecture in how I'm too young.
I know this sounds sort of mean, but like you, I am going to be frank. If you can't follow my basic 'rules' ( i guess you can call them) then please do not post.
Some of you discriminate on age, BIG TIME. The question is not all that ridiculous.
I know what I need to do, I know I need to work hard but doing research and asking for opinions is going beyond my age limit??? Common...cocky much? I'm not one of those set-in-concrete, I-wana-do-this people. And I am a in clubs and the works.

I apologize in advance if I accidentally offend you, but please if you going to tell me how young I am or how this is a stupid thread just don't post, and if the thread dies...it dies..., I have much time to change my mind in what I might do.

kelseyg, collegehelp, & siliconvalleymom I thank you for your input in Political science.
