I’ve recently been interested for college applications as a high school junior and was thinking about whether or not political volunteering would be acceptable to be put as an extracurricular? I’ve spent some time in the past and still in the present with phonebanking / texting for two different political campaigns but I wondered if it would be polarizing to put in the extracurricular section. Should I mention on which campaigns I volunteered for on an application or should I be more vague about the specifics? Also, if I plan on majoring in a field that doesn’t relate to politics in any way, should I still put it?
