<p>FWIW, AP Biology had the lowest percentage of 5s across all of the AP exams, per totalregistration.net.</p>
<p>One thing that I think the College Board is not taking into account, and should be publicizing if they do have the data, is how many students take AP Bio as their first course in bio. I think that puts those students at a HUGE disadvantage. It was like Honors Bio was the intro, where you figure out all the vocab and general concepts, and AP Bio put it all together.</p>
<p>High schools that have a single year without a comprehensive summer project (my son had to catch a freaking fish as his AP Bio summer project!!!) that lets them hit the ground running hurt their students, IMHO.</p>
<p>(And I’d love to see historical percentages, back to the 80s and before. It feels like very few students were studying at all for AP exams, yet more were getting 5s.)</p>
