Yes: 1
No:

Yes: 1
No:

Absolutely not.

probably not

Noooooo...Like, myself?! Really!? That wouldn't happen...

book-wise, yes. socially, no.

I partially home schooled myself through 6th 7th and 8th grade because of illness. Didn't learn anything more than I would have in school. So nope.

Besides, not being around my peers everyday SUCKED.

Yes: 1
No: 4

Uhm I don' know what to count enderkin as... lol.

I'd say no.

That would depend on when I homeschooled myself

count me in, baby. in for the long haul.

Hey romani, didn't you say that you were able to bring yourself ahead of your classmates after homeschooling yourself when sick (in a thread many months ago)?

Actually, I probably should add "book-wise" and "social" options in there.
Bookwise yes:
bookwise no:
socially yes:
socially no:

As for me, bookwise, certainly AFTER 7th grade (if before, I wouldn't know since I didn't value academics before then - I wasted my 6th grade summer online - but I might have valued academics earlier if I homeschooled myself earlier), socially, hard to say (probably not if I homeschooled myself since 1st grade, probably yes after 6th grade)

but the categories are really weird too (like there were periods of school that I genuinely did learn from - most of the periods were useless). Also if I went to a school like a feeder school to TJ, then it might also be different.

Socially: NO!

Bookwise: No (myb yes in the humanities though, but definitely not in math/science fields)

Ugh I think about that all the time.

I regret so much not having been homeschooled from K to 5. I honestly didn't learn a thing in school during that time, and I would be a much more intelligent person now had I not gone through the tediously boring torture that is Elementary School.

So, yes, I WOULD HAVE LEARNED MORE.

Bookwise: I doubt it. I'm am not motivated to learn on my own at all.
Socially: No, and I doubt anyone would say yes to that.

no way, socially or book-wise

If I were homeschooled for some subjects that I am good at - science/math, then I'd be so much more advanced now. Especially during that pesky elementary/middle school period where we learn how to add every single year.

But socially, no, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Bookwise: No.
Socially: I would have said yes if you'd asked me a year ago. But this year? No.

"Hey romani, didn't you say that you were able to bring yourself ahead of your classmates after homeschooling yourself when sick (in a thread many months ago)?"

Mmm. I think you have it confused. I self-studied a few subjects that brought me ahead of my class but I wouldn't have done it any differently than if I was actually in school. Does that make sense?

Lmao, ok. I homeschooled myself from 6th-8th grade because I was in the hospital for over 100 school days per year. And, I still managed to put myself 3 years ahead in math and a year overall in school. It's too early in the morning. =]

Inquiline, why does it matter?

My school put me three years ahead in math and a year overall, whether I was there or not. What I meant was that homeschooling myself didn't put me behind. Which is why I said "Didn't learn anything more than I would have in school." My school was a private school that accelerated you.

Did you REALLY search through my posts for that? lol.

Why does it say I'm offline?
