currently taking 2 classes, but 3 AP tests because 2 of them are combined in one 2 year course (Physics B, US, Euro)

wow...off the top of my head there's about 15 (give or take)
Physics B
Physics C
Bio
Environmental Science
Calc AB
Calc BC
US/Euro (you can't take them separately)
Contemporary History
Art History
French Language
French Lit
Spanish Lang
English (i don't know if its lit or lang, but there's no official class for it. you just go in for study sessions if you want to take it)
latin (they switch off between vergil and the other one every year)

Optional (just out of curiousity): well on most of the APs, the teachers pride themselves on everyone getting 4 or 5s. (but i haven't taken any of the actual tests yet)

we don't offer any IB courses. and very rarely does anyone take an AP earlier than junior year, but if they do it's always foreign language.

1) Took 3 last year and taking 5 this year (doing one through independent study), so a total of 9. 12 are offered at my school.

2) Art History
Biology
Calculus AB
English Language
English Literature
French Language
French Literature
U.S. Government & Politics
Spanish Language
Statistics
Studio Art
U.S. History

3) Taken: US Hist-5, Art Hist-5, Eng Lang-4
Will take: Eng Lit, Calc AB, US Gov, French Lang, Macroecon (online), Euro Hist (Ind Study).

Taken or taking 9 of 14 of the APs offered at my school.

Taking: (predicted scores)
-Statistics (5)
-Biology (5)

-US Gov't and Politics (5)

Other APs offered at my school:
-Calculus (not sure if AB or BC)
-Music Theory
-Psychology
-Studio Art: Drawing
-European History
(Unofficially offers Spanish Literature and French Language)

So, basically, my school offers a lot of the "not respectable" APs...grrr. I would KILL to have Physics and Chem at my school

oh believe me, we've got courses like ap environmental science (not slamming on people who take it) but that's what all the slackers in my school take after they complete the required s/h science courses.

I'm taking two this year and haven't taken any before: AP English Language and AP US History. My school offers ridiculously few AP courses, despite its being one of the top public schools in the state. The most anyone can take without bending the system is five, I believe: one junior year and four senior year.

canada1, in my school people do the same for environmental science.. however, I'm taking it now and I find it just as hard and it had just as much workload as any other ap class.

How many APs have you already taken or are currently taking? How many are offered at your school?

Offered:
Biology
Calculus AB
Calculus BC
Chemistry
European History
French Language
U.S. Government & Politics
Physics C
Psychology
Spanish Language
Statistics
U.S. History

Taken/Will Take:
Calc BC
Euro - 5
US - 5
US Gov -4
Psych
Spanish

last year- bio (5) us history (5)
this year- calc ab, french lang, physics

school offers:
bio
chem
physics
us history
world history
art history
psych
english
french lit
french lang
spanish lang
latin
latin
calc ab
calc bc

the most you can take junior year is 2/3, it's mostly just seniors who take aps. i'm not taking that many. the number of students who take all aps is very small. probably like 15-20 out of 600 take more than 3 aps per year.

I think my school offers all of them except Latin, Human Geography, and probably a few others. My school offers a pretty wide variety of APs.

Anyway, I've taken 6 AP Exams so far. I'll just say that they're the only standardized tests I did very well on. . .:
AP European History - 5
AP American History - 5
AP Chemistry - 5
AP Biology - 5
AP Computer Science A - 5
AP English Language and Comp - 4 (I didn't actually take the class, just the AP ^_^)

I am taking 5 more this year (with predicted scores):
AP Government and Politics (5)
AP Calculus BC (3 or 4 or 5)
AP Physics B (5)
AP Computer Science AB (5)
AP English Literature (5)

I took AP World Hist. (5) sophomore year
AP Lang/Comp (5), AP physics(4), AP US Hist. (5) junior year
AP Calc BC, AP Bio, AP Lit., AP Gov't, AP ECo, AP Spanish this year
so....11 total...most of them aren't really that hard in my school

for those who took two ap sciences at the same time: was it hard to do both? i'm trying to get the administration to let me couple bio with chem... any complications i should know about having the two together? i think they go hand in hand.

Only 4 AP courses are offered (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, EnvScience) because the school does not favor restriction of subject matter taught. All courses there are Honors, most are College Level.

S chose AdvGenChemistry over AP Chemistry due to the superiority of the instructor. He chose Physics with Calculus over AP Physics also.

S scored 4 on Chemistry after taking Advanced General Chemistry. Will take AP test on Physics,CalcBC (taking Calc III this spring), and Music Theory.

yeah, I chose not to take an AP because the instructor for the AP class is incompetent IMHO. I hate it though. that's just one more AP course that I'm not taking from my AP deficient school.

our ap science teachers are pretty competent. they also teach ib science courses although one is very against the whole ib program even though he teaches it.

I'm taking 3 of the offered 6. we have bio, chem, us hist, english lang, spanish, & calc (not sure which 1). I took US History, Chemistry, and English.

Our school is so odd, it doesn't usually allow APs until your junior/senior year. Most likely so your senior schedule looks more impressive to college admissions.

Taken
AP European History
AP US History
AP Physics B

Taking (this year):
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC (continuation from last year)
AP Government
AP Economics (Macro)
AP Literature and Composition
AP Spanish

Self Studying:
AP Chemistry (while I took regular chem in school sophmore year)
AP Psychology (taking regular psychology for half the year in school)
AP Physics C (branching off from B)
AP Computer Science (only because I have prior coding experience)

My school offers: Art History, Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Computer Science A, one of the Economics (not sure which one), English Language, English Literature, Environmental Science, French Language, German Language, US Government, Latin Vergil (?), Music Theory, Psychology, Spanish Language, Statistics, Studio Art, US History, and World History. We can take Physics C at the other district high school. Strangely, we're one of the weakest schools in the area; we were mentioned in a college apps guide as a school from which there are not many strong applicants to Ivies. I'm only aware of 2 other seniors who have taken more than 2 AP exams.

I have taken (10th grade) World History and Environmental Science, (11th grade) Biology, Chemistry, German Language, and US History, and I am currently taking (12th) Physics C, Calculus AB, Economics, and German Language. I will also sit the English Lit exam at the end of the year; my English class is considered to be more difficult than AP.

wow with all those aps ur school is still considered weak? Do ppl even take those classes or do they take them and not just take the exam? I know if we had that many ppl would definitely take them.
