Poll: McCain vs Obama

Well aren't you so giddy at other's misfortunes there Cervantes, you sick person?

Anyway, I don't care if you like someone besides McCain or Obama. You're wasting your vote.

a link means nothing, sorry. We have to wait to see the results, there is more corruption in voting than most even can imagine.

as for what I said in post 18, It was a mistake about obama, I was typing a different thought and the changed and didn't fix it.

Obama/Biden 08!

McCain: 6
Obama: 6
Barr: 2
Paul [Not a Candidate]: 1

And Dr. Horse, do I need to show you that link again that shows that the general election is hugely in his favor?

2008 Presidential Election Interactive Map and History of the Electoral College

86% chance Obama wins (84+2, because if it's a tie Obama wins because Congress is Democratic) and a 14% chance McCain wins. Of course things can change, but with Palin's daughter's teenage pregnancy I can only see things getting better for Obama!

Wrong, again.

FiveThirtyEight.com: Electoral Projections Done Right

Obama/Biden for me!

Obama: 7
McCain: 6
Barr: 2

Anyway, I don't care if you like someone besides McCain or Obama. You're wasting your vote.

True that. I never got why people even bothered voting for independents and the like. It's not like they're ever going to win anything.

I personally hate Ralph Nader. This year is going to be his 5th time running for president. When is he going to give up ?

I mean, in principle, it'd be great if hope and change could change the world. Get real ;) We have no time for gambles, we must elect McCain :D

Still both links show that Obama is relatively strongly favored to win this. pugfug90, you support McCain. Don't talk to me about being a sick person.

People only vote for two parties because they dont have the mental ability to handle the dynamics of a 3 or more candidate election. It created two much confusion, those poor folks.

I find it hard to believe the majority of people can agree with just two candidates, its so highly unlikely that two people can cater to a entire nation, its almost foolish to assume. Especially when the two main party's are almost in Parallel on ideas. Americans can barely handle two candidates which are incredibly similar.

wed to run. If election day is Nov 4th, then lets give these candidates 3-4 m
The system we have is flawed, and its the reason we have so many problems in America.

What most dont relize is that if everybody didn't worry about their vote counting and justr went and voted for who they thought was best, our country could be a very different place today and in the future. It would be a place that truly reflects the mob, rather than a reflection of elites.

But hey, until Americans wake up they deserve everything they get.

I for one will vote for Ron Paul. Because that's who I think is best and I don't care which of the main candidates wins, because they are equal to me.

Dr. Horse, while I agree more diversity in choice is a good idea, if you have 3 or more parties that'll end up being 10 maybe even 20 major parties. In Italy there's some ridicilous number of political parties so nothing ever really gets done because parties switch control way too quickly. I think we vote based on the core issues of each party and not the peripheral ones which is good.

I for one will vote for Ron Paul. Because that's who I think is best and I don't care which of the main candidates wins, because they are equal to me.

He's not even a candidate anymore. You can't vote for him...

Cervantes, I call you sick not because of your liberal positions, I call you dumb for that. I call you sick because of your blatant disregard for the sanctity of life.

I call you sick and dumb for supporting McCain which shows that you have a blatant disregard for the sanctity of life.

Also, be careful calling someone who's smarter than you dumb.

I don't like liberals but as half the nation that they are, I don't think that they are all sick and dumb. You are.

Of course you can, its called a write in. I can vote for Gilbert Grape if I wanted to.

I think the more the better. But somebody needs to get majority and not plurality. But the core issues aren't even issues a president is supposed to deal with. They are top be dealt to the state.

pugfug90, if I'm ever in Atlanta I'd be there to show you who's dumb and sick. ;)

Dr. Horse, if you have too many parties it'll be hard to get a majority unless they are pretty similar.

Cervantes, pugfug... calm down... remember, personal attacks are for the politicians!

I think we should get rid of the electoral college... Only chance a third-party might ever get.

That said, Ron Paul '08! (beating Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck by a very thin margin though...)

McCain: 6
Obama: 7
Barr: 2
Paul [Not a Candidate]: 2

McCain: 6
Obama: 8

Please, don't keep adding other candidates. If you don't support these candidates, don't reply. This thread has a pretty clear title topic.

McCain: 6
Obama: 9

Nader.

This is not communist china +1 more party.

If i can choose from 10,000 brands of toothpaste, i should have more than two viable options for POTUS.

Cervantes, its called a coalition government, and it works most of the time.

The problem with a multi-party system is that it gives extremist parties a chance to come into power. Like the nazi party in 1933
