Haha I never took calculus either. I got as far as Advanced Algebra w/ trig, realized I had completed the minimum 3 math credit requirements, and said to hell with calculus. I'm going to art school.

Most people at my high school take Calculus their senior year, some double up and take Stats alongside Calculus.

Theres is no disadvantage at all trust me. I took calc ab as a soph, and am finding out theres no adavatage in taking amth so early. No it does allow me to take other stuff though, and go further in physcis and math, but in terms of college admissions it does nothing i bet.

My school senior year the only option is Calculus or AP Calculus AB. We have a statistics course but it's more of a ****ty elective where you get 100's than a real course.

I go to a public high school in New York, and at my school, in order to take AP calc, you have to have been accelerated in the math program in middle school, essentially. In my school, we did 7th and 8th grade math and science together in one year, allowing us to get ahead and take more classes.

I personally decided against talking calculus, because the teacher is an alcoholic who is often too drunk to plot coordinates (I'm not joking), and also because I didn't want to murder myself senior year with too many classes. I believe there are five students taking both an AP math and an AP science this year, maybe more, and I believe all are either aspiring doctors or Ivy hopefuls.

Also, at my school you can take AP stats in junior or senior year, but I don't know if that's relevant.

At my school, AP Calc AB is taken mostly in soph. or junior year.

On the general looking of things, Calculus AB is a college level course, so you are still taking an AP class before you would reguallary take it. therefore, you are still acceralated to the general public.

I took it as a sophmore. However, that is absoltuely not the norm. One of my friends took Calculus as a Senior and is going to Harvard. You will be fine!
