When I was taking the SAT and ACT, I didn’t really think too much about the score reports, so I just put in some schools I was interested in for all my tests. I wound up scoring best on the ACT (34), and I wanted to send that exclusively to schools who have score choice. However, I wound up sending both my ACT scores (30 and 34) as well as my lowest SAT score (1420) to one of my top choices. I don’t know why, but apparently, I didn’t send my higher SAT (1480) for whatever reason. So now instead of seeing the 34, they see a 30 and a 1420 as well. Will they consider those lower scores?
I’m not aware of a single college that says anything other than “We consider your highest score.” Even the ones that require all scores.
@skieurope Should I self-report my 1480 then? They take self-reported scores. Or does it not matter, and they won’t even look at my SAT since my ACT is higher?
I don’t think it matters, but sure,go ahead and report.
@skieurope Sorry to come back to this, but I did wind up officially sending reports of all my ACT and SAT scores, and I just got confirmation today. So you think the difference between just sending my 34 and sending all scores is negligible?
Sending all scores won’t hurt.
Send them all
I agree completely with @skieurope on this one.
