Should I Send Both SAT and ACT?

My ACT is 34C with 33R, 35E,32M, and 36S
My SAT is 1480 with 730 English and 750 Math
I know that a 34 is better than a 1480, but my math score is a little better on my SAT than ACT. I’m applying for an economics major btw. So, should I send both or just my ACT?

I think sending both would be fine. Colleges will look at both of them.

So it wouldn’t look bad? I know a 34 isn’t that much better than a 1480, but would it work against me?

I would send both as well. They are two very good scores, the 1480 is only 10 points below the SAT concordance table range associated with 34 ACT (SAT 1490-1520). Lastly make sure you double check whether you have to send official scores, or can self-report scores to the schools you are applying to. It’s been amazing to see how many schools in the last six months or so have implemented self-reporting policies. Good luck!

My dream school is Columbia, and my 34 is around the 50% range for ACT scores, while my SAT score is barely above the 25th percentile. At least, that’s what is looks like to me. I just don’t want it to hurt my application.

I hear you, and you are right about where your scores fall – admitted class of 2022 mid 50% act is 33-35 and sat 1460-1550. I don’t think sending the SAT will hurt you, OTOH you probably won’t gain much by sending it, so certainly would be a reasonable decision to just send the ACT.

I would just send the ACT score. The SAT score doesn’t provide any benefit, in my opinion. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback guys!
