First, I'm new here, so hello CC community! Feel free to call me out if I make a mistake.

So my question is this: can a strong AP score make up for a not-so-good subject test score? I got a 5 on the AP chemistry exam, but only a 720 on the subject test (the time constraint destroyed me). From what I've heard, AP scores don't have much importance in the college admissions process itself, but SAT IIs do. I want to pursue a pre-med track, so of course, chemistry's going to be pretty important. I'm looking at mostly top tier colleges, along with a few others. Would you recommend I retake the chemistry subject test this fall, or is it not worth it? I know I could improve my score significantly if I pace myself better this time around.

Thanks in advance!
