I'm an international student and I took SAT this October. My scores were horrible except for the Math. Cr440 W560 M750. (1750) Btw, it was my first time.
The day before the test I had some problems (not about SAT) and was really tired and couldn't sleep. And next day, I did so poor as you can see.
I'm taking December test again and setting my goal as 2000. Is it reachable within a month?
I was really confident on my Math, but got 750. Must have made dumb mistakes or had problems on bubbling.
Anyways, what does it take to get 600 on CR and 650 on W?
My essay score 7 and I think I can manage to get a 8 next time.
Any tips and ideas would be awesome!!!

I give props to anyone who doesn't speak English natively and attempts the SAT. It's a hard test even for English speakers, so I can't even imagine how hard it would be to take such a test in a foreign language. Don't feel so bad about your CR score.

Since you don't speak English natively, the best things you can do to raise your CR score are 1)memorize lists of words, and 2) make sure you're familiar with the types of reading questions on the SAT. Be familiar with the terms commonly used on SAT like theme, purpose, and style. Having a basic understanding of the American perspective of reading will help you immensely. Finally, just keep on practicing.

If you couldn't read this without having to look up a few words, you definitely need to work on your vocabulary. The words I just used are considered to be basic on the SAT.

Thanks for the advice. And fortunately I didn't have any problem with reading your post. Anyone know how many raw scores would bring me a 650 on W and a 600 on CR?
BTW, I got a 750 on Math on the last SAT. I didn't omit any. So how many did I get wrong?

Tsenguun, 750 math with no omits is probably 2 wrong.

I would say 2 wrong since math seemed fair to me. Don't worry about your reading score because I got 500 too which is not good(im international, too) but im aiming to get above 600 this time .
