Popa's Final Math 3b

Anyone here take the final? Any thoughts or comments? I just killed that test. I forgot that partial fractions existed. Yeah I hate math.

The the bright side I think the 14 series is going very well. Hardinger FTW! Good bye to lavelle's sleep inducing voice.

14B...sigh I am still sad thinking about that final...

wow....you're looking forward to hardinger....that's scary (not that hardinger is bad, but the fact that the class he teaches is ochem!!!!!)

That was ridiculous. Reminded me more of Kucherenko than anything Popa threw at us all quarter. I think I managed to catch most of the tricks, but my numbers were hideous.

Dude, I just hate math. Its not the math itself, its just that learning math is probably one of the most boring things in the world. Actually applying it and what not isn't that bad and can be pretty interesting, i.e. physics. Two more math classes and I am done for LIFE! No math classes in med school right?

Yeah, I am actually looking forward to ochem. There is so much going on and it is so dynamic compared to gen chem. Gets me all excited. hahaha.

Asura, what are you talking about, chem or math? I don't like the Math grading system vs Chem's, that is, Popa vs Lavelle. For example, lets say you do a problem that takes 5 steps. In chem if you mess up some number in step 1, then you simply lose points for that specific part. Even though that step changes the answers for all the other steps, you'll get full credit for those steps if you did them correctly, but the mistake in step 1 snowballed. This is not the case for Math. They dock you for everything. Argh hate math.

Grades are up now on myucla. Finally a test with a proper distribution!

Oh god, I am going to check right now. So believe it or not, I got the exact same grade. Both my midterms and final are within 5 points of what I got last quarter. I HATE MATH. !!!

The average was actually much higher than I was expecting. I was thinking it would be somewhere closer to a 55%

Really? I thought it would be high 70's. The test itself was pretty easy, but me procrastinating and not sleeping the night before made it exponentially hard.
