I am currently lined up for two different internships. One has the job title "Credit Internship" and describes mainly just helping advisors at Smith Barney. My other internship opportunity is as a research analyst at a small (150 employee) local institutional investment firm that works with a few of the major players for overlay services. My question is, which of these positions would likely lead to more opportunities upon graduation (I'm currently a junior in college).

Does working with the Smith Barney financial advisors provide any sort of experience that would look good on a resume and possibly lead into a future investment banking position? I know the two are pretty unrelated, hence my confusion over which firm to pick.
