POSSE Foundation?

I was invited to attend a POSSE meeting around late April to get information on the organization and to choose whether I wanted to apply or not. My guidance counselor gave us an application to fill out which would let her see which students she wanted to nominate. I found out around May that I was nominated and had to complete the POSSE official application online.

I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with POSSE? Either you were accepted or not I would just like to know what it’s like.

Thanks!

My sister got the Posse scholarship for Bryn Mawr college. She went to a few interviews from Sept to Dec and then notified in Dec that she got the scholarship. It’s really difficult to get it unless youre a super charismatic person because Posse is based mostly on personality. But it’s also a commitment once you get the scholarship because you have to go to mandatory Posse meetings once every week and do a bunch of other posse stuff.

Is the first interview group based? What I mean by that is it team-building?

i hope you got it! for anyone else: here’s my super long and detailed account of the selection process. i was selected to be a bryn mawr scholar, so the info about the finalist interview is specific to bmc but im sure the procedure is still pretty standard. http://cccloseststar.■■■■■■■■■■/post/136025804853/intro-so-if-youre-reading-this-youre-probably
