possibility of a curve on the math section?

Curves are preset for the SAT.

The curves are set for whatever test that is being held that month. Collegeboard reviews the questions on that test and sets the curve accordingly. It would be ridiculous if the curves were arbitrarily determined. I'm sure there are more than a few people on this site who have familiarized themselves with the SAT well enough to know which exams are considered hard and which are easy. Having done multiple practice exams, I can honestly say the October math portion was ridiculously easy and I highly doubt they will curve it generously.

They never curve math generously.

Sucks for me. :(

the test is always curved to that the mean and standard deviation are always the same. The bell curve is identical for every test.

I recommend reading the link tokenadult provided if you are interested in seeing how College Board handles score equating. They don't curve according to how a group of students did on an individual test date.

I got a 800 with -2 on the June 2007 Math Section.

Are you sure? I took it in June and the curve we got from reporting our raw scores on CC was that -1 = 780...

Some math portions had curves; unfortunately yours did not.

Uhh, -2 = 800? -1 = 800 rarely ever occurs. I took the June 2007 test, and CCers all reported their raw scores. -2 is a 760.
