Hello everyone
I am a student studying in the CBSE curriculum in India. So I have been accepted to Purdue Engineering which was my safety and have applied to 15-17(including 3 ivy leagues, uva ,umich ,ucla, ucb, nyu etc.) schools more. I had a perfect gpa in class 10th. in 11th i had all A’s ( expect a B in physics) and for class 12th midterm i had all A’s as well.
Currently i am giving my board exams which started this month and and i feel that there could be a huge drop in my grades in these exams. The result of these exams will come by the end of May. Also i haven’t sent any predicted grades to the universities as they didn’t ask for them.
Firstly i wanted to ask that as the result will come end of may and we have to respond to universities by may 1 , will i have to submit these results as part of my final report
Is there a chance that my admission could get revoked if there is a drop in grades(c’s for example)???
Not for Cs. However, you will have to submit your final grades to colleges. If they dramatically fall, then yes, you could be rescinded. D’s and Fs, for example. I assume you took the SAT or ACT, so they have already admitted you with those scores. Just keep doing well.
Thankyou @Lindagaf
I just wanted to ask another thing…
As the final report result comes by end of May and we have to reply to a college by 1 May.if my admission gets revoked at the college i have committed to… then what other option would i have as my other admission offers would no longer be available… would i have to drop a year for example??
Are you thinking that you are going to do really badly on these exams? If the colleges haven’t asked for, them , I guess you don’t have to submit. You had better be sure about that. If you end up being rescinded, there are mnay colleges that will be taking students right until September. There will be lists on this website.
Like Linda said above, do you expect any Ds or Fs? If not, stop worrying. You’re the source of +$250K to Purdue. They’re not going to let you get away.
1, maybe even 2, D’s won’t cause them to rescind (assuming you aren’t from California). A lot of D’s will and an F will.
