possible essay score if i DONT use much SAT words?

<p>the questions says it all! can someone tell me the possible score if i have an excellent essay with good examples and no grammar mistakes, but dont use much SAT vocab words( read any= much)? i know that the use of SAT words DO count in good scores, but what if one doesnt use much of em?! can they STILL get a 11 or a possible 12? :|

It doesn’t emphasize the use of complex words but that of appropriate vocabulary</p>

<p>Grammar does count – much vs many. (noncount vs count)</p>

<p>I was able to score a 10 and an 11 without using any SAT vocab. The biggest mistake that people make in the essays, I think, is trying to force random big words into spaces where they don’t fit. If anything, random SAT vocab usage with take away from your essay, and makes you look like you’re tying to pad your essay with fluff, like you’re pretentious</p>

<p>Focus on developing an argument and writing clearly, and you’ll be good.</p>

<p>As Milkweed hinted at, maybe you should look at improving your grammar and writing skills before aiming for a 12…</p>
