Possible to get into a top US uni with poor O Levels but good A Levels?

Here's how the grading system in Singapore O Levels works: A1,A2,B3,B4,C5,C6,D7,E8,F9

Ive gotten 5 B3s, 1 A2 and 1 C6 for my O Levels (GCSE equivalent)

Although I am taking A Levels next year, I've come to realise that O Levels results also play an important part in the application process. Do you think its a good idea to resit my O Levels ? Will the universities mind that I originally took my O Levels in 2007 and that i retook it in the year 2009? Or should i just forget about retaking my O Levels.. But surely it would affect my chances at a top US uni? :(

the universities wont mind a but WHEN you take the exams, but they will notice WHAT you got in them…but i dont think retaking is a good option…i say go on to A levels and get some kick ass grades…
that’ll show them you really mean business!

Alright :p
