I am trying to transfer out of UC Berkeley to another UC, preferably UCLA or UCSD. I have a 3.8 gpa in 2 semesters at Berkeley and I am a biology major and a pre-med. I really just don’t enjoy being at Berkeley and I am confident that I would have a more enjoyable life at another UC school.
Will transfering to another UC look bad in application for medical school?
UcSD has terrible returns for pre-meds so hopefully aim for UCLA and another UC.
Med schools won’t care that you transfered.
Transfers between UC’s are really far down the totem pole, priority-wise. Community college transfers make up over 90% of the transfers. You have a great GPA right now - go where you can maintain or improve on that. Med schools won’t care that you transferred - Cal is a pre-med dream killer.
