Is it possible to transfer to a school (e.g. columbia) if one does not have some of the courses that are part of their core curriculum (e.g. say a liberal arts course is required and you do not have anything that may fulfill that requirement).
I was thinking of applying for junior admission (i dont care even if i lose a year). If this possible to get in?

yep, i had to deal with it at Cornell. You just have to load up on core classes when you get there so you can take electives.

Thank you very much.

How difficult was it to "load up"? As a matter of fact, what did you transfer to cornell to study?

i'm in the ILR school where i study economics. ILR has a very strict core curriculum ... it's tough to find another school that offers a similar course in like ... Organizational Behavior. So, what i did was call admission and student services to figure out which courses i should take to cover as much of the core requirements as i could. I was able to cover many of the course (for example, two writing seminars, micro and macro econ, science requirement, history requirement, etc), others i was not. So, when i finally arrived on campus, i just loaded up on all of the core classes that i couldnt take elsewheres, got them out of the way so i can take the electives i want to take.
