possibly getting rescinded:(

I dunno. Math and Science classes are pretty cut and dry, but occasionally you can have a class with some element that is subject to the teacher’s whimsy in the same vein as a Humanities class.

Case-in-point: the chem lab I took this last semester. The lab prof was a stickler on vague details like whether or not your background summary in your lab report was complete enough, or whether or not she liked the way you presented your results. Obviously I was able to beat her grading, but I had to put in some extra effort to do it.

That is true. I just think anyone who got straight A’s should be proud. They worked hard. I’m taking a BS major.

Well, a B.S. in statistics. I am obsessed with analyzing and interpreting data, creating surveys, and designing a means of proving (through numbers) that certain problems exist. A lot more stuff too. I get passionate even describing the field. Don’t think I can go into the actuary field. I look at my poor mother who has M.S. and realize that I could see an actuary thinking of her as a life insurance liability. Can’t do it.

Anyway I don’t care how much money I may make in the future, but I know I will be able to the stuff I like to do^^

you’re all a bunch of nerds! I spent all my time this semester rotating between UCLA/Berkeley trips, trying to decide, and spending as much time with my Community college friends as possible. So I"m ending up with a 3.5 and proud of it. Perfection (as far as grades are concerned) is overrated. I’m going to Berkeley either way!!! :D

@guitarfrk123 seriously? Physics 4C was a joke. Stop trying to put down people who earned straight A’s. Whats hard for someone is definitely a subjective matter.

PS. I AM A TECHNICAL MAJOR. I had no fluff classes this sem. 22 Units, physics, DE, C++, Gen Chem 2, statics, prop of materials, honors astronomy(ok its a 1 unit class but STILL!)

Another 4.0 here, making that all A’s for all of my >90 units – none being remedial and in a technical major (CSE). Cal can suck it.

I agree with sfwarrior lol. i am a “bs” major and i find some of my “bs” courses harder and more time-consuming than my calc/physics classes. and yes i got a 4.0. honestly, by far, the hardest class i’ve ever taken is Symbolic Logic. Probably spent twice as many hours studying for that class than I studied for Calc 2 and Physics.

3.76 this semester

A’s in Physics 3 (quantum/relativity), Linear Algebra, Diff Equations, and C++
B’s in Physics 2 (thermodynamics/electricity/magnetism) and Tennis (lol didn’t go to class)

f’in magnets how do they work i don’t care i’m a math major ffs

“which major is easy and will get me into ucla??”

applied math

also berkeley

i took it easy this semester and only took two classes : D

When I was at the TAP conference at UCLA, the head counselor said she gets asked that question a lot actually.
“What is the easiest major to apply for at UCLA?’ I get asked. And every time I want to say ‘physics.’”
The room then erupted with laughter.

yayy i got a 4.0 this semester too. when do we have to send in our transcripts??
