I got a 4.0 the semester on 17 units!

??? and they rescinded you why?

You got rescinded after getting a 4.0? Explain. There is some serious info missing.

$5 says you dropped a pre-req/ course required to complete IGETC/ a course required to get to 60 units.

^^ well, here is the real thing for you guys!

hehe

What in the fresh hell are you taking about?!

He most likely used the title to draw attention to the thread. He probably didn’t get rescinded, but is just ecstatic because he got a 4.0

this has got to be a joke.

Because getting a 4.0 at a CC is so impressive roll eyes

i wouldnt say that hijynx, it really all depends on ur class and ur professors. ive had some difficult teachers with impressive backgrounds. don’t bag on all CC students man.

I got a 4.0 through 70+ semester units and I agree with hijynx

I’m guessing collegehopeful18 and hijynx99 aren’t science majors. Take 70+ semester units of math, physics, biology, and chemistry at the same time, and then you can roll your eyes until they fall out of your head

i’m an applied math major and have taken those courses at both UCSB and commmuntiy college and i can definately tell you that math/science at CCC is a complete joke compared to what they expect of you at a UC.

I have friends at UCs. You’re not the only one who knows what UC expects, and as far as I can tell, they’re pretty much expect the same. What CC did you go to? I’ll be sure to write it in my E-Z mode book.

my sister is a bio phys major at uci. she comes to me for help… don’t bag on other’s education when you have no clue what they have learned. its all knowledge, we all read the textbooks and learn the same thing. your wrong if you think its really any different.

Suwaifo, I went to diablo valley college. Although the textbooks are the same you need a higher level of understanding to do well on the exams at the UCs.

“you need a higher level of understanding to do well on the exams at the UCs”

that sir, is on the individual. some professors ask for more, some ask for less. don’t go making assumptions about all professors and students at CC’s being dumb…or at the very least, not as smart as a “UC student”, because I know some pretty dumb uc students to make my point hahaha

for my differential equations class we watched the MIT opencourseware videos for our lectures and used the same textbook. Beyond that though, we got the individual attention of a < 20 student class size environment. If anything for that course I’m sure I learned as much if not more then plenty of those at MIT that took the same class… but Jetforce is right the competition is undeniably much tougher at these 4-year universities. Just because they require a ‘higher level of understanding’ doesn’t mean we don’t necessarily possess that at a CC either though.

i think this person just wanted a good title to get everyones attention…

but really just wanted everyone to know he or she got a 4.0 this semester. woohoo, lol great job!
