did some middle school ban flaming hot cheetohs??

Haha this is really making me like my school now. The administration can be fickle sometimes, but if they like you, you can pretty much do whatever you want (especially when you’re a senior). We have “uniforms” but I’ve worn a t-shirt almost every day of the year and no one has said a word, and the counselor and band director will pull me out of my easy classes sometimes just for the heck of it. The other day the band director pulled me out of a finance class so I could go to Chickfila and get him lunch ^.^

The 3.5 rule is so prejudiced and almost like racism to some extent. That’s like saying fat people will be banned from entering the cafeteria just cuz they’re fat

Fat people should not be banned from the cafeteria, but they should have a limit on the amount of food they can purchase. Maybe a reward type program, where for every mile fattie runs, they can eat an extra 100 calories.

This is probably not a big deal compared to most high schools…

But at my high school, if you’re tardy by even .5 nanoseconds you get a 30 minute detention. Not only that, but you have to walk to the office, wait in line with the 100 other kids who were tardy that day to get a slip, and then finally make your way to class halfway through the period…
Your punishment for being tardy is… being made more tardy!

Oh yes. I remember like 2nd grade, being told that I would have to write in cursive all throughout middle school, high school, college, and the rest of my life. Only time since that I have needed cursive is the SAT, where I usually hold up the rest of the room given how horrible I am at it.

Hugging was banned in my middle school

And in my high school all the boys bathrooms are locked whenever one of them is vandalized

my school wont let us kiss in the hallway or we get detention? ***? a lot of other schools are bad too but i hate the rule, since i have to do it after school or in lunch.

Same rule at my old middle school. Hugging was also banned. Oh, and so were water bottles. Because you know those middle schoolers, always bringing in liquor in the water bottles.

Honestly though kids who were cute and liked by the teachers could get away with anything. I don’t think I ever bothered even trying to follow the stupid middle school rules.

Kids could get dehydrated if they don’t have water with them. Why is it that when even ONE person does (like ONE kid out of 1,000 decides to fill his water bottle up with Vodka even though he’s known for antics) or says something, it causes these rules? Thankfully universities and colleges aren’t like this lol. I’m sorry I’m just on a rant. I need a life.

Oh I remember last year, some lady contacted the HS because she didn’t want her daughter kissing her boyfriend so they made a no PDA rule. She was ****ed and didn’t like him so she had to ruin it for everyone >=I

I’m actually a fan of the no PDA rules, with exception to no hugging. I am not a fan of seeing people make out in the school halls. If you feel the need to swap spit, please do it in a more private location, especially if butt grabbing must be involved.

As for the 3.5 to use the bathroom, that is ridiculous. I would definitely be fighting the school on that one. It’s prejudice on so many different levels. There are students who are not capable of receiving a 3.5 for one reason of another, be it a learning disability or high stress at home. That policy is beyond wrong.

lol at how nobody objected to the fat person rewards system.

in our school we had a “free hugs” day

^ I didn’t even feel like bothering with that. I am resisting a serious rant.

It was so ridiculous, no one felt the need to.

There.

That’s strange. We’re not allowed to go to our lockers between classes (unless it’s interval or lunch) but everyone does that. I’m pretty sure this rule was inforced so that students don’t get up to anything bad in the locker areas and nobody steals anything. The funny thing is that when something goes missing around here, people overreact and scream “OMG who stole my [insert item here]?” frantically. It’s wayyyy too dramatic.

I can’t think of any at my school, probably because I don’t really care about them. But we have pretty strict uniform policies. Oh yeah, if you leave an item somewhere carelessly, you have to pay a dollar (per item) to get it back.

The 3.5 rule for bathroom use is stupid, but I would like it if kids with higher GPA’s would get, say, pool and fitness room privileges during lunchtime. :)

The middle school has a state of the art fitness room and pool, and you only get to use it ~1 week during gym.

^ I think people should get to use the pool and fitness room regardless of GPA, or else what if you had the lowest GPA in your group of friends and they wanted to go swimming? You’d be left out and that would suck. But I guess it might motivate you to study hard.
My school allows students to use to fitness center whenever (even during study) and the pool is able to be used except in winter months as long as the lifeguard is there.

^So lucky! Yeah, maybe that would be good for everyone. But while our fitness room is nice, there are only about 40 machines or so. I think grades should decide who gets to use it first.

My school was going to order the kids by GPA (per grade) for picking out their classes (we did ARENA scheduling), which I think was fairer than like alphabetical order. But they didn’t because they thought it was unfair to the kids with the lower GPAs so they did it alphabetical folding method.

^ You can hardly say alphabetical is fair!
