I want to know how are the study abroad programs and jobs that are offered to a Smeal grad?

Another thing...i havent heard abt my tuition and fin aid..but what is the estimated amount per year? I did the calculator thing on their website and it came 10,000 something i think and in their acceptance package the tuition was like 22 g i think...so whatsup with that? Could anyone tell me. Thanks and yeah another thing...how competitive is Smeal..? This year I heard it was very competitive and is ranked 12 or 13...impressive!

Accepted Smeal
1260 SATs, Definitely going to PSU next year. I'm filling out my room and board scanton thing and have a question. What's the best housing area? It looks like east, south and pollock are pretty popular.

yea i got into smeal also. i definetly want to know more about that school. i still have to choose between syracuse and penn st. i only have about 3 weeks to figure it out and i still have no clue what im doing!!

My d is also choosing between Penn State and Syracuse. She visited friends at Penn State for 2 nights and loved it. We saw Syracuse last yr, but will be going again within the next 2 weeks for an admitted students program (really to check out the inside of the buildings and the dorms which they dont take you on the regular tour). The difference between the two $19000 instate (Penn State) And $31000 (Syracuse). She likes the smaller size of Syracuse, but is hesitant about the weather. Whats are your thoughts?

lowermorelandmom--or anyone else--is the weather much different between Penn State and Syracuse? The reason I'm asking is I'm from the west coast and don't know much about the geography there. My daughter is also considering Penn State. Thanks.

Accepted from outside of Boston, MA
Also accepted at Wisconsin, Purdue, Maryland and Syracuse

Attending PSU because I enjoyed the campus and the big school feel. Looking forward to this year's summer sessions
Accepted into Smeal Business school, but thinking of changing my major to communications

Syracuse gets MUCH more snow than PSU. Syracuse is really in the snow belt and gets feet of it from the lake effect.
PSU seems to get some snow every winter but not too many super storms.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as other places over there!
