Well right now I’m in my last semester and as long as everything goes to plan, I will be graduating in May. I’ll have about 6 weeks to relax until I work my summer job one last year. It will end in September. I just want to know, would it be maybe a good idea or bad idea to take some time off after that to kind of try and figure some things out? I honestly have no idea what I want to do yet, but do have some possible options. I’m majoring in Marketing but not entirely sure if I want to work directly in that field. My parents friends are big into the hotel business and said they could probably get me a job anytime I wanted to or my parents said my aunt’s company could probably get me an internship. I’m just not sure if I will be ready right then and there after my summer job is over to take on that right away. My summer job is exhausting, I work almost 45-50 hours a week. I love it but it’s very tiring but money is very good for it, usually take in about $800-$1100 depending on how busy it gets.
I will be graduating with no debt and all my schooling paid for on my own so that will be of no pressure. Would it be a negative to take maybe 1 or 2 months after my summer job ends to kind of just chill a little? I do still live with my parents I’m 22 and they want me to stay at home until I’m 25. I just don’t want to feel like I’m being a burden to them I do pay for some stuff at home but they still help me with most major costs. Once I obtain a stable job to where I have steady income I would like to take it upon myself to pay for my own stuff (cell phone, car insurance, etc.) Just a lot to think about between now and then but I still have about 13 more weeks in school so that obviously has to get out of the way first.
