post here if you got rejected!!

I was born in Italy, will get an Italian passport when I turn 18.

Allora sono quasi-italiano!

But actually I hold a British passport. They didn’t ask for ethnicity but in that respect I’m Indian. Weird hybrid!

Wow you got accepted to Oxford but rejected from MIT?? Haha it just goes to show how brutal the decisions were this year…
Congratulations on Oxford though! Everyone knows it’s an amazing university and if I were you I wouldn’t even be having second thoughts about wanting to go anywhere else. :)

Whompssss rejected as well.

hey no one’s in the facebook group?!

i might join, but only if its a secret group.

Ok, i know I already posted this. But please tell me I’m just being paranoid…or entirely accurate. So, I got into Princeton through Questbridge and wasnot expecting it AT ALL. I applied to MIT, got denied. Does that mean that I have no appeal besides being a low-income student?

… natim, no offense, but your post got on my last nerves.

You are being paranoid. Princeton would not have accepted you, even in the Questbridge process, unless they believed that you could thrive at Princeton and were a good match. Princeton and MIT are both very different schools. Being accepted at one school does not mean that you will be accepted at another school.

Also, did you not indicate in your MIT application that you were a Questbridge student? I believe that MIT accepts the QB application. Did you not forward that application to MIT?

lionsrcute: no offense, but i could care less. and yes, i would say the exact same thing to your face, so im not taking advantage of the anonymity of the internet.

juhee: yeah i did. but i dont want to be a sob story you know? it’s like if i were a recruited athlete, id think that i have no appeal other than my body/athleticism.

@natim1

I see what you mean. Did I get you to see that your feeling of inadequacy is unnecessary? I hope that if you do end up going to Princeton, you have the time of your life there!

natim1, do you realize how cocky that post is? im just hoping you’d be able to come down to earth and realize many, MANY people would do anything to get into pton. Please realize that you’re blessed and lucky to have got in and get over your worrying about why you got in. If you got into a fine institution such as pton, I wouldn’t doubt your incredibility… at all. so please, move on with your life.

btw, im a pton hopeful, so im hoping my future classmates will be grateful to have gotten in and lose the attitude.

and i apologize if i am coming off as rude, because i think thats the vibe im giving off, but i really am frustrated at how you could be worried about such a small thing…(at least, to me, thats a small thing)

lions: i am not being cocky at all. I was simply stating that I don’t care if you are being rude or not, because quite honestly, you are a stranger. i have no idea who you are, and if you chose to be rude (which you didn’t, and I didn’t think you did either), that wouldn’t have bothered me at all. And I am very down to earth. How are my posts anything but? I am questioning why I got in and others didn’t. What about me did Princeton think merited acceptance? I want it to be something that I would want to be judged on, not just a number on my tax return. And using your logic, I shouldn’t have to be grateful to the school, If I earned that spot. SHouldn’t I be grateful to myself? That’s the thing, I don’t want to HAVE to be grateful because they GAVE me a spot. I want to have earned that spot.

i guess being thankful and grateful for what i have… even things that i guess I “deserve” … is how I’ve lived my life. I guess that’s why I can’t understand why you would question that and why you want to know why you got in. so basically… congrats to you, and i hope i get in as well.
