Post Here When the Scores Are Up!

Well, when I was browsing the June ACT thread, I saw 4-5 perfect 36's, and I've only seen one on this thread, so perhaps the September testing was a bit harder. The scores do look lower overall.

It's not right to say any test is harder than others. The reason more 36s were reported for June is that more people test in June, and thus, there will be more CC students who speak of getting a 36.

Anyway, my results...

Predictions/Actual

English 34/34
Mathematics 28/29
Reading 28/32
Science 30/30

Writing 8/---

Composite 30/31

As you can see, I guessed fairly accurately, except on reading. That was certainly a shock. I think the curve was good
(-1 = 36 anyone?), because my subscores were 17/15, yet I got a 32. It makes sense given how difficult the prose fiction and natural sciences passages were.

Since I got a 31.25, I'll have to live with the knowledge that one more question on any subject would have put me up to a 32, but...like I said in the English thread, that's life. :)

What I really care about is the writing right now...

grrrrrr I cant get mine ***....

ok, so I just got off the phone with act, and they said my test was not scored and no more scoring is being done until Monday. If it's not scored next Monday, then the Monday after that. Scores are released after they are scored, but they only score them once a week????

So for my Ed application they (the school) says to submit it as soon as possible. Do I wait for my score (who knows how long) which won't have the writing score anyway, or do I just put down the date I took the act and submit the app now? Then, if the scores are good I can send them, and if not, I won't? Is it a problem to put down the date of the test on the app and then not send those scores?

And on a side note...even though I asked teachers for recs on the first day of school, they still have not done them. If ed is 11/1, do they have to be postmarked by then, or does the school have to have them by that date? This is getting frustrating!!!

ugh.....so basically I have to wait until Monday before I can get my score?!

grr i wanna see my scores?!!?!

I think they score them daily, but only upload the scores once a week.

Frustrating.. What percentage do they score daily? I took my test in Tucson plus writing and do not have scores yet.
Where are the other no scores coming from?

mine says:

"We're sorry. We know you are anxious to see your scores, but they cannot be viewed at this time.

We have received and processed your answer sheet, but there are still some quality assurance steps to complete before your scores can be reported. This includes resolving situations such as incomplete test form information on the answer sheet or test administration questions.

We will add scores each week as these situations are resolved. Our goal is to report all scores within 7 weeks after the test date. You may check back each week during that time. "

....situations are resolved?

Is anyone else's test status still marked as just "Registered"? Is that a problem...?

darkstarbursts: where does it say that in your account?

rememberme1990: mine still says that too.

runningguy: still no scores from los angeles. (standby though)

Mine still says registered too...and I just found out that other people who took the test at the same test center as I did already got their scores. And I was not standby! Argh!!!

act system unavailable...maybe that's a good thing! Keep your fingers crossed!

I got my score finally and ugh I got a 33 (just barely)

E: 34
M: 34
R: 32
S: 30 (***...)

I don't know what happened.....

Do you think this is worth sending to my schools if my SAT is 2180 superscored?

yes, because your ACT is probably better when you unsuperscore your SAT because they are the same now.

For those of you who took writing, my D just checked and hers is already on.

Ha ha well I suck but I'm so finished taking the ACT. I only managed to raise my score one point to a 30, and my science section went down five points! But everything else went up. Still, I'm done. SAT time!

E: 34
M: 27
R: 32
S: 25

Wow, writing scores are up!!! So early.. I wonder whether the essay comments are generic to the essay scores. My 12 got the following comments: "Your essay addressed the complexity of the issue by evaluating its implications. Your essay effectively supported general statements with specific reasons, examples, and details." Seems like a pretty vague assessment. Did anyone else get the same comments?

OH MY GOD MY SCORES ARE OUT!

E: 34
M: 29 (haha, oops.)
R: 34
S: 34
Comp: 33

my heart is so happy :)

Finally got mine! With writing! Well, I went down in everything except english, which is what I really needed to raise (But I went down 6 points in science, argh!) Here goes...

June
C 31
E 24 (pathetic, I know)
M 35
R 29
S 34
Essay 9

September
C 30
E 30
M 33
R 28
S 28
Essay 8

I know they're not the perfect scores posted here on CC, but I'm just so happy that I fixed that 24 in English!!! Too bad schools don't superscore the ACT, because then I'd have a 32 Composite (30E, 35M, 29R, 34S and 9 Essay)
