Post here when you receive your letter.

ryeCT,
Make sure you get back in touch with the soccer coach as soon as you can. He may still have some pull left and be willing to use it for you under the circumstances. The same thing happened to a classmate of my D last year. He was recruited by football at Amherst, but got wait listed in ED. It seems the coach did something and he ended up getting admitted by mid January.

Sometimes I think that admissions and the coaches play poker with each other over tips and academic admits, and guys like you can get caught in the middle. Who knows, your wait listing might just have been a subtle (or maybe not so subtle) message from admissions to the coach saying "use a tip." Good luck with whatever happens.

RyeCT;
Clay is correct. It appears the coach gambled with your admissions and didn't use a "tip." You did get deferred so if you plead your case with the coach and admissions, I have a feeling you can be admitted RD, or earlier if you are persuasive enough. I'll PM you with info I recently learned.

did no one get letters from williams today?

Craw;

Did you apply ED?
rb

no, but a good friend did and she was hoping to get her letter today.
we live in california...

I got accepted ED from small town north carolina, i am so excited!!

I havent seen any posts from any other southerners out there. Are you just quiet or have you just not recognized the glory that is williams???

we're just quiet, i guess, cuz i got accepted ED as well, my name is mahlet and i'm from texas! :)

i was notified of my acceptance by email :D, but i haven't gotten my letter yet...international mail is beyond slow, SO frustrating...do you guys know if i have to wait for some form or deposit slip in the mail before i send the $200, or can i send it in right away?

I don't know if it's different for international students, but in the States they send a specific envelope to put the money in.

Nah the deposit is waived for intls... it was last year, anyway.
