I haven’t done any post-holiday shopping besides a small grocery store to replenish dairy supplies 
. But thought it would be fun to share/hear about post holiday splurges, sales, good buys.

Went to Home Goods and TJMaxx today to get some things my D needs for going back to school. TJMaxx was very, very picked over and many areas were totally emptied out. HGs was better and she at least found her bedding which was the main priority.

I’ve only done shopping at one place and to no one’s surprise, it was from athleta. Kept away from the lululemon site

What I am noticing this year is there are very few sales. I was hoping to pick up few things post Xmas, but have not been able to find anything.
I have $20 Kohl’s cash good through January 2, and should be getting $15 Kohl’s Rewards on January 1. I don’t think there will be % off deals until the Kohl’s Cash from the holiday shopping expires. So I guess I’ll find something to get for pickup; maybe more washcloths in the design I got last year. They do tend to get stiff after a lot of use. Sonoma Goods For Life® Hygro Ikat Towel
Or maybe I’ll find something more fun. Just depends on what they have in the store.
I drove to Georgetown, Texas today with my sister, dad, and dad’s caregiver. We had fun shopping in the town square. Cute shops and good prices. I got a nice sweater and Texas paraphernalia.
I haven’t seen any good sales so am not shopping.
Old Navy had some good deals this week. I ordered toddler clothes because they’re outgrown so quickly that I hate to pay full price. The toddler clothes ranged from $1.97 to $6 each. Some are for next spring and summer, so I hope I guessed right on the size. If anything’s too small, I can always donate to a local shelter.
What I’ve noticed…the stuff that usually is on sale is very picked over or just not there at all. Not much holiday stuff even on sale.
I think store stocks in general are low this year so this is not surprising to me. Plus there were so many sales before the holiday!
I ordered a few vests from Zappos. My daughter is looking for warm clothes on Backcountry and Moosejaw.

If you are a TurboTax user, today and tomorrow, on Amazon, TT is on sale PLUS an $10 Amazon gift card. We use TurboTax Deluxe with State and 5 online federal e-files, paid $39.99 + gift card, so you are really paying $30.

Bath and Body Works has a lot on sale plus an extra 20% off today. Shopped online and stocked up on things I would normally buy. Happy for a good sale.
Does anyone know of this version of Turbo Tax includes the form you need to complete when your gifts exceed the annual amount?
Oh wait…I think this form 709 isn’t part of your taxes. How the heck do you do this? I will start a separate thread.
My husband just ordered it on Amazon for the $39.99 which is a good price but saw nothing about a $10 gift card.
There was a bunch of boxes to click on:
—download vs. mac disk vs. pc disk
—which version of turbotax (w/ or w/o state, business version, etc)
—with gift card or not

Costco has turbo tax federal nay for $29.99. Federal+State is $39.99
I have a few things in my Nordstrom online bag, but they’re not on sale so I can wait.
The snow here is keeping me from in-person shopping.

I usually buy the “frisbee” version at Costco. Pop the disk into my external CD drive… no guesses needed. Looks like I need to buy it now to get the good price and kill the joy for a day.

Yup. Snow, omicron, and lack of inventory… last time I was at the big Eastside mall, store inventory was pitiful.

I use H&R Block Tax (formerly TaxCut) but checked Amazon for TurboTax and did see the $10 gift card offer - I have Prime. My tax software is “on sale” for $35, but I paid $26 for last year’s in January so hope springs eternal.
I have used turbo tax, but used their cloud service rather than downloading it to my Mac. I don’t know why I would want to install it on my Mac just for one time use. Is there any advantage of having it I stalled?
