<p>I watched an episode of Friday Night Lights late last night (3x09) and saw one that I had forgotten about.</p>
<p>One of the football player's girlfriends said she was going to Vanderbilt, and the other was in awe of her "fancy pants".</p>

<p>Speaking of movies, I think that one brunette girl in Legally Blonde went to Vanderbilt for undergrad.</p>

Yeah, that's Lyla Garrity. It's about time she went to college; I think this is her third or fourth year as a senior.</p>
<p>When word gets around that she's headed to Vanderbilt I predict applications by boys increase by about 50%.</p>

<p>I had heard that same rumor ^^ but it was supposed to be fall of 08. Apparently, she decided to pursue her music career instead. Maybe she changed her mind and has decided to attend for fall '09. We shall see...</p>
<p>Taylor Swift attended a football tailgate in fall '07 and rumors swirled at that time. D met her and she and friends got a picture made with her. I can't see how she'd have time to attend college just now since she is red hot with everything she touches.</p>

When I said young crowd, I didn't mean 9 year olds such as the young crowd for Miley Cyrus. As a middle aged person, I should watch my words. I love Taylor Swift, especially the song "Love Story."</p>
<p>Some say that Taylor Swift nearly replaced the Commodore as Vanderbilt's mascot, you should know who she is.</p>
<p>Also, she has been to a couple fraternity's parties here (although I haven't seen or heard of her being on campus in almost a year) and this rumour you're talking about is a true story of her wanting to attend Vandy in this year's freshman class.</p>
<p>I asked her to our spring formal when I first met her, obviously right off the bat (is there any other way?), but she refused. :(</p>
<p>I don't think I should worry about knowing about some singer that the Vandy masses like. I've never been the one to care about that stuff, and I'm not going to change in college.</p>
