I only need 1 credit for my diploma and 1 for my college degree. I took dance as a freshman for high school and a martial arts course over the summer for college. I have no health course though, it’s included with the gym credit.

Advanced U.S. Government/Economics (mandatory class, can’t take AP at the regular campus, must take the advanced at the advanced campus…)
AP Calc BC
AP Lit
AP Physics- Mechanics
-------Lunch-----
5-6. Early Release

My school never does early release (pride in their own electives, I presume), but my counselor managed to secure a spot for me. I’m doing C# at the community college instead of wasting time in Engineering 1-2 and Business Operations 1-2.

“Some of these schedules seem a bit blown out of proportion.”

Lol, good, it’s not just me. I only have 6 courses the WHOLE school year -__-. I’m also taking two courses online. But when I was in DE, I had 10 courses throughout the year with two courses online. But if these schedules are for classes that are all on campus, these are some busy schedules…

Junior Year
Per. 1: AP Statistics
Per. 2: AP Physics 1 (w/ lab)
Per. 3: Gym (exempt 1 day from physics lab)
Per. 4A: AP English Language & Composition
Per. 4B: Lunch
Per. 5C: APUSH II
Per, 6: Honors Pre-Calculus
Per. 7: Honors Spanish IV

For the most part I am not worried about the academics, just the jerks in my classes. I am WAY too excited for physics though because it is physics! And the spanish class this year will be fantastic!!

Wow all these block schedules and A-H, I could never wrap my head around the disorder. Texas (well the part where I’m from) is simple with a 5-day week and seven period day. All day every day.

Senior (Still feels like I’m dreaming ) :
AP Govt./AP Macroeconomics (They have each class as one semester and it’s a graduation requirement)
AP English Lit.
AP Comp. Sci
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics II
AP European History
AP Art History

(1) AP Statistics
(2) AP Macroeconomics
(3-4) Honors Anatomy and Physiology
(5) Lunch
(6-9) AP Physics C
(10) AP Calculus BC
(11) English IV: Underrepresented Voices in Literature

I know Physics is four periods, but because of the way lunches work, it’s the same length as two periods.

I just think that some people are lying to make themselves seem smarter. Don’t get me wrong, I know that there are a lot of smart people on these forums, but I just can’t believe some of the schedules! They are way too busy!

I sincerely doubt that anyone on here is lying, and if they are, it’s not like anyone cares about their schedule. You have to remember this college confidential, basically the site of overachievers. These aren’t your average high school students. :)

I get where you’re coming from, but if you look back there are students who are taking 7 AP’s at the same time. Those 7 AP’s are some of the most homework-filled ones, too! That’s not possible to do in one night. I don’t fully believe that they’re lying, but I think some of them are exaggerating.

@tacoperson123 lol I see what you mean. Last year I took five AP classes and some of my friends who even saw my schedule still couldn’t believe I had those classes! But @themarauders is absolutely right: College Confidential is the site for overachievers. Besides, Euro and Art History can’t be anywhere near as hard a Chem and Bio

@emenya AP Bio is actually pretty easy AP Art History isn’t really even offered at my school, because not enough people ever sign up to take it, since it’s so hard. The first year it was offered people took it, but they told everyone about how hard it was and now no one ever signs up for it. AP Bio, on the other hand, has plenty of students. And AP Art History is available for sophomores up, and AP Bio for juniors and up.

Of course, that’s just my school, but AP Bio is considered fairly easy in general.

@LosingCrayon yeah I didn’t feel that Bio was hard either. The only part I absolutely hated was Taxonomy I’m hearing things now about Art History that is going to make me shiver…

Period 1 math analysis honors
Period 2 AP world
Period 3 independent research GT
4A AP english 11
4B French 4 Honors
5 Chemistry GT
6 AP micro/macro

1: Spanish 3
2: AP Chem
3: AP Psych
4: Honors English 11
5A: Lunch
5B: Advisory/Homeroom
6: Honors Precalc
7: Study Hall
8: Religion 11
Post-School (1st semester only): Pep Band/Marching Band

I wanted to take a semester of creative writing, but the class got cancelled as you had to apply to get in and not enough people applied, thus forcing me into a year of study hall. As I want to be a journalism major, I would’ve taken Print Media (the school newspaper) as a class period, but that would’ve completely messed up my schedule (thankfully, it’s offered to juniors and seniors so I can still sign up for it next year ).

In short:
I start off in a period where I don’t know what’s going on as it’s all another language, followed by two classes I actually like (AP Chem’s a lot of work but if it goes well I might double-major in journalism and chemistry; AP Psych is taught by my APUSH teacher from last year, whose teaching style worked really well for me, and from what I’ve heard it’s easier than AP Euro) followed by an INTENSE dose of British literature. I break for lunch/socialization, then homeoom which is a shortened study hall. After that, I go to a class that makes me want to throw something (or someone, depending on the day) out the window as I’m not much of a numbers person, then my actual study hall, followed by the first religion teacher I’ve had in high school that doesn’t put me to sleep. Last of all is pep band (my school’s version of marching band), which, despite all the marching we do, is still not enough to qualify it as a sport and get me out of PE. After all that, I go home and have several hours of homework to do 8-| but so far, I’m getting it all done. Then again, school’s only been in session for two days…
