Post your ED application status!

Yay, it feels good to be right! :D

I have a question on the online app for essays -- how do we italicize? Can we use ubb code or html? =/

Does anyone know if internationals are offered alum interviews?

They are if there is an alum somewhere in the area. With Princeton's network, you should have a good chance as long as you arent living in the middle of the Gobi desert.

lol.. India is where I live... And that's not middle of Gobi desert. Phew!

It seems like I am the only one who got this done early (beginning of september)..

So does anyone who has finished know where to find application status? It says to go to <a href="http://www.princeton.edu/admission%5B/url%5D">www.princeton.edu/admission</a> and log in with your PIN... I have my PIN but I could not find a place to log in anywhere. A link would be niceif anyone can find it..

Also, when should I expect to be contacted for an interview? I live near Ann Arbor MI so I feel guaranteed an interview.

I also would like to get an answer to the PIN question. Anyone know anything about this? I searched for quite a while and could not find anything on the website...

yeah, i don't know about the pin thing, but to btgreat:
once you turned in everything you should have gotten something in the mail saying they got your app. If you didn't get it, i'd call princeton.

Let's see, I've done drafts of all 5 essays/short answers (including the "what else" one...how long is that supposed to be anyway? Or perhaps a better question to as is how long can it be?). Everything else is filled out (almost)...just got to check with my guidance counselor, and then remind people about recs. I'm submitting it online...two weeks!

5 essays?????? i thought there were only 3 including the 150wd EC one????

the long essay, short essay, short answer, engineering essay and anything else essay... I guess that's how its 5.

is 'anything else' really an essay tho?

thx guys for clearing that stuff up about interviews.

Its just that last year, 3 people got in ED for princeton w/o any interviews!! I'm good friends with them, so i talked to em a lot. But the thing is, I live 10 min. from Princeton!?! why didn't they get contacted for an interview??

And is that a DEFINITE thing or NOT SURE thing about the certain date=guaranteed interview, etc??

FINISHED polishing my essays! Now just need one more teacher rec; should have everything sent off by Monday. How many recs is everyone sending in??

The short answer thing: Did you write something about your sport/music etc. or about what you achieved in it ? Cause I am writing about the fascination of Tennis, and I am not quite sure about it.

1/2 essay to go, polishing everything, asking for the optional rec, getting the stamps and finished. Gonna have ~6 hours at the weekend which should be plenty to end it. Thus - def 2 recs (those of my teachers) the sec school report (which is kind of a recommendation) and maybe the optional - not quite sure yet. We'll see.

Submitted the online app yesterday! It's such a huge relief. Now I just need to get the guidance councilor to send in the school transcript and her evaluation. Although I barely know her, and have no idea how she is supposed to correctly rate me on things such as "selflessness" or "concern for others"....

I count 5 essays (6 for engineering): long and short essays (the two main ones), then 2 short answers (summers and extracurricular), "What else?" and then engineering (the last 2 aren't required).
