Post your son or daughter's basic squad and flight here

Miss Muff is a Flying Tiger! Haven't recognized any other names in her squadron yet. Maybe after BCT there will be some more familiar names/faces.

14, huh? Cool. I know several people in 14 (that's eagle36's squad, btw). I'll make sure they know to give Kelly a hand once the semester starts...

It's really great someone knows someone in her squad. Somehow it helps, even though we don't know each other. I'm from NC and went to ASU, husband went to Davidson and then to OTS, then to Mather AFB years and years ago. Thanks for answering back. Best to all, I'm back to searching Webguy for a glimpse of what everyone is up to.

I am having trouble understanding how the academic squadrons are determined by BCT squadrons. i saw a post but still do not comprehend it.

BCT Squadrons consist of 4 flights. There are 10 BCT squadrons, so 40 Flights. Each flight represents one Academic year Sqadron. Agressors is the first squadron, so Aggressors A Flight will become Cadet Squadron 1. Squadron A, Flight B will become CS-02, and so on. So my flight, Demons A-Flight, is the 4th BCT squadron, first flight, corresponding to CS-13.

haha, then I know who missmuff's cadre are. I was in 24 4-dig year. I know several of the 3-digs going there, and I know all of the 2-digs and firsties.

Missmuff's Mom, PM me if you want more info on missmuff's squadron.

JS be nice she was Potters appointee during orientation... ;)

haha, don't worry, I've got good feelings toward 24 and would want to convey those to missmuff's mom...I'm not trying to scare anyone! Plus, I'm not going to go back to 24 just to beat missmuff. I'm the nice guy...

Hey Jeremiah we can go candy bomb the Basics after acceptance since there are so many in Sijan :) Tell your buddies in hardcore-24 to be nice to missmuff too. Well as nice as they can be.

haha, sure thing potter. Enjoying leave as much as I am? (and I'm enjoying it, btw) ;)

Yes, I am fully enjoying my leave. Even my evil sister isn't so bad.

This is Chris's dad(airforce16). I believe he is a Flying Tiger. Although these tired eyes are having a hard time distinguishing between maroon and red.

Airforce16 you can call the AOG on monday morning and ask which Squadron and Flight Chris is in. It will make it easier. Potter was a Barbarian last year and I had a hard time between the orange and red.

So, what exactly is the difference with the AC year squadrons? Is it just that unlike in BCT where everyone is a 1st degree, there are kids from every year? Why does AFA change after the first year? Does anyone know the reasoning?

Only a very small amount of upperclassmen (2 degrees and Firsties) from each squad work BCT. The rest of the squadron are doing other summer programs. The reason they switch squads after a year is pretty much to get a new atmosphere, get away from the people that trained them, and to get a fresh start (among other reasons, I'm sure- I just kinda assumed these are the reasons).

Finally found out the squad info (there was some confusion about whether Twin1 was in Cobra or Demo):
