It still seems unclear on the stats one needs as an out of state student to get this scholarship so I would love for the people who have gotten it in the past to post their stats here. Will help all future students on whether they have a shot due to out of state schools

I got it, and I think its more if your application sparks there interest; as in, if they think that there is a unique quality that will help you succeed at tech. The presidents scholarship is the one based on stats.

DD has it. I’m not sure what they are looking for as she was an afterthought for them. She received notification of receiving the scholarship in May (2012), obviously after others had declined theirs. She had a 4.8 GPA, 770CR 760M 690W, IB diploma, and good EC’s.

Bump come on guys

PS isn’t based so much on stats, but on merit/accomplishment–they are looking for the best overall student leaders that they can.

The fact that Provost is murky/unclear, with no criteria and awarded on an unknown basis should hint that it is awarded when GT decides to award it. It is not a particular mark of distinction (whereas the President’s Scholarship allows students to claim with some justification: one of top ~50 freshmen at GT based on leadership, academics, communication skills, etc.). Provost Scholarship simply means that GT wanted you, based on some other quality, demographic, financial need, or other basis, enough to offer you some money.
