Provost and President's scholarship

Hey guys, can international students become provost or president scholars at GTech ??? The admissions office told me that they cannot offer Fin Aid or scholarships to us, but it was ambiguous.

I know of some presidentials who are international but I do not know of any provost who are. provost is used a lot for out of state smart students from underserved communities. Now that I think of it I believe there was one student living in Brazil last year who got provost but I believe he was an American citizen. There are threads from last year dealing with both scholarships so search for those and see what they wrote about their stats.

You can call the presidental scholars office and ask your question. The guy who runs the program has a name like “Chance…” He is pretty nice and could give you a specific answer.

You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or a citizen of the United Kingdom to be eligible for the President’s Scholarship. http://www.psp.gatech.edu/application-selection

What is the reason for the UK aspect in this award? If you are dual UK/US citizen and US resident does it affect classification??

I am a Provost Scholar and do not have US citizenship/permanent residency. It’s possible.

However, I feel like I should qualify that by pointing out that I have not met a single other non-citizen Provost Scholar. And I’ve met extremely more qualified international students who didn’t receive a dime.

Are there any additional forms (CSS profile, etc…) that need to be filled out for consideration for these two scholarships?
