Thanks!!

alright um this is awkward. If you're applying to the music school, good luck. Its very competitive, especially since its tied for 1 in the county with Julliard as the best music school in the country. So you have to be a real good musician. If you are applying to the college, you grades are a strong start, definately bring up your sats, and I'd say an achievable reach.

For the university, I think you should be fine.

By the looks of it, I'm assuming somewhere posisbly vocal performance. I'm not so sure UR (college) has that strong of a vocal program. I personally would not advise you to apply to the college for that matter.

As for Eastman School of Music which Insane_membrane has mentioned is ranked 1st right now. By the accolades and groups you're currently in, I do not think you have the chops for it. I believe the vocal performance class is about...10 - 20 people per year.

As for Music Ed, you stand a good chance at the college and a (idk these college "reaching" terms) challenging but plausible stretch to achieve at Eastman. Singing in a select group only gets you so far. You'd have to list your most recent repetoire and compare it against the Eastman requirements.

I guess that's what I have to offer on that. Though in general the people at both eastman and the college are willing to meet with you and share their own opinions before the audition period. I know at the college you can contact Joe Hanson. But at eastman I don't know where you would start. I think you probobly need some contacts to visit one of the professors for a lesson or something to that extent.

Good luck
