PR Writing

Hi all
Well I took the October SAT and did well in all sections except in writing, where I received a 550 (55 and 8). It was my second time taking it, and I improved my other sections after studying a lot, but I never did study for writing. Well, I wanted to know how much does the essay counts for the sat. If I maintained the 55 and received a 12 on the essay how much would it bring me to ? This leads me to my second question, is the LiveGrader from the Princeton Review worth it ? Did it help you guys? or its basically some guy giving random comments ? What is the best way to improve writing ?

thanks

I am doing PR's online course, and it has the Live Grader tool. I love it! Definitely use it if that's a weak area. They actually do read it.

The tips in Cracking the SAT are good too...have you used that?

I used cracking the sat mainly for math and cr, as I said previously I really never even bothered with Writing. I'll use it though, as well as McGraw Hills
