Sometimes, on school nights, I try to fit in some ACT practice. However, I never have the time to complete an entire test. Are there any advantages of taking an entire test in one sitting, or will doing 1 section at a time have similar effects?

You may practice one section at a time, but do at least a few timed full tests before the real test. My daughter did practice section by section during the week whenever she had time, and then do a full timed test in the weekend. We only track her practice scores from full tests.
