Hi everyone,

I am currently a senior and so far I have gotten into Georgia Tech, UFlorida, Northeastern, SCAD, Pratt, IIT, and CMU. Right now, my top choices are the last three mentioned: Pratt, IIT, and CMU.

I got into IIT with a 24 grand scholarship. I visited the school and to my surprise I loved it. It's got a small school feel, yet the arch program was very impressive and well recognized. Also, Chicago is a BIG plus.

For Pratt, I got into the school with a 21 grand scholarship. New York is a big plus for this school, as well as the quality of the teacher and staff, who are practicing architects in New York City's firms.

I also got into CMU, and I have not heard back about any scholarship or aid yet, that is coming in the next weeks. I know CMU is a very very expensive school, more than the other two, but it is also very well known in the professional world. I may be wrong, but I have gotten theimpression that this program is a bit on the technical side.

Can someone please help me decide which school would be a better bet? Which one is more design oriented and which one more technical? Where will I come out better prepared as an architect and with great connections for the professional world?

Thanks!
