Pre-college camp credits worth it?

I'm a junior in high school and I was wondering if I did a pre-college credit and earned science credits somewhere like NYU or Vanderbilt, if:
1) The courses are the same that I'd take credit through AP courses and
2) Would taking a science (say, chem.) class be beneficial if I want to remember the details 4 years later for the MCAT?

The courses themselves look like great prep for college life, but I don't want to spend excessive amounts of money if I decide not to take the credit or something.

I wouldn’t do them!

1) They are not the same as APs. If you take college courses at NYU or Vanderbilt for credit you MUST report them on your med school apps. AP courses are only reported if you get credit for them at the college you end up at, and all that’s reported is credit, not a grade usually.
2) No.
