Can someone tell me how pre enrollment works? When can I pre enroll for courses this Fall 2009. I looked online and the instructions are very unclear. As the information is unclear too.

My original response apparently did not go through. I thought enrollment was done during freshman orientation.

depends on your college. for CALS, for incoming freshman it is done during orientation, transfers it's sometime in the summer i think, and people already attending its towards the end of spring semester.

Your advisor may pre-enroll you in a few classes before you come to campus...of course you don't have to keep these classes.

What sort of classes can the adviser enroll us for? I thought all freshmen could enroll for courses only during orientation - or does this only apply to CALS students? Thanks.

This happens for students in all colleges. Your advisor may pick courses that would fulfill major or college distribution requirements. This schedule isn't set in stone by any means...it can change if you receive AP or college credit. But yes....you don't make your final schedule until you arrive on campus for orientation.
