With such concerns as college looming on the horizon, I was wondering if anyone has their Prom / Pre-Grad / Grad plans already?
i.e. what limo, where its gonna be, what y'all be wearin to look so fly lol ?

All i know is that my pre-grad is gonna be on a boat...(No, it's not gonna be a minnesota vikings love cruise...)

Dude, you're thining about this wayy too early. I'm pretty sure msot guys haven't put one iota of thought into prom. You girls ar jsut crazy, and if you're a guy, that's just wierd. It's like those women who plan out their weddings when they're in elementary school.

I already know my dress - it's the dress I wore to my boyfriend's senior prom and will most likely get married in. It's a '50s ballgown, deep dark purple, black fabric at the top, strapless...oh, it's gorgeous, I adore it. As for my date...I've already got him and he already agreed ages ago - if I went to his senior prom, he'd go to my senior prom. We're thinking of eating dinner at this place by his university since I'll have to go pick him up anyway, and then we'll drive back to where I live and do the prom/after-prom thing.

...I'm seriously frightened by all this plannign for prom. Well, it's all girls thankfully, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna let my date plan everything, I'll just dole out most of the cash for limo, ticket, dinner, etc.

I have a date but no clue about a dress. All I know is that we might be going up in a limo with me, him, and 2 of our friends. It all depends though on if we're going up in buses to the prom because this year it's at a hotel.

Graduation, no clue. Hopefully a huge party.

uhh too early for me. Our prom/ball is like in May-ish..
But definetly a limo, preball party, afterparty. Last year I wore a canary-yellow cocktaily dress. I think i'll go for lipstick red or pastel colors this year. Black dresses turn out really strange in photos. And low heels. I wore like major stilitos last year and after couple of hours, I couldnt dance anymore because my feet were like dead..

I don't know when to ask who I want to ask to prom. At my school, we have a junior prom, and I want to ask a senior... people tell me right now is too early, even though some people have already asked people to be their dates. And I'm also nervous about the actual asking part... I can't imagine how I might possibly do it. The person I want to ask.. I am sort of friends with and we talk in class and stuff... but it's not like we're really good friends. But he's really cool and funny and he's the type of guy who'd make a really good date... so... idk. It makes me nervous thinking about it.

I don't even really want to go to prom, but I'm sure my friends will end up convincing me. It just seems like such a waste to spend hundreds of dollars on an evening I already know will be mediocre.

^ I agree. But I think I'll go with Duct tape, and possibly a box of Cap'n Crunch covered in duct tape as my date...Oh I hope she'll go with me.

For the guys, is it better to spend the $400 to get a tux, or rent it 2 times for $100 each. Id wear it again on my wedding and some other day, probably college things.
Im done growing.

@meestasi...lol i see where you're coming from, but our school is all-boys...so many of my friends are scrambling to find dates after procrastinating or realizing that, after four years, the myth that 'girls' exist is true.

Yeah, see, no limo for me...I'd much rather drive my own car than have someone else drive, even professional...a) it's cheaper and b) I'm just weird about other people driving. If I get into an accident, I want it to be my doing (as weird as that is), thank you.

My boyfriend and I won't make it an expensive affair - we have fun whenever and where ever, so it makes more sense to us to spend less on the prom/activities and then spend the extra stuff on a movie or something later.

i took a limo last year, i would not recomend it

your barely going to spend time in it, you have to pay a TON of money, and our driver didnt allow any bookbags inside, so we ended up drinking soda in the limo.
