I know I want to pursue a career in medicine and I received the RPI medal last year. After visiting the campus, I was extremely impressed with the academic and research opportunities available but I’m concerned that most of the opportunity lies within the engineering programs; are the same top-notch opportunities there for biology and pre-health? How competitive is the pre-health environment on campus? I’ve recently learned about RPI’s new partnership with the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai and a program called flexmed; does anyone know more about this program? Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
