hi, i'm attending nyu cas next year, and i plan on pursuing pre-law. i know there is no actual pre-law major, but any information/advice abt pre-law at nyu is appreciated. are the courses easy to get good grades in if you work very hard (inflated grades, moderate grades, or deflated grades?). also, is nyu recognized at top law schools for being good in pre-law? lastly, approximately how many of the pre-law students end up in the top law schools? thanks!

bumpety-bump!!!!!

I'm curious about this.

Me too. I'm in the same boat as you.

i guess nobody wants to answer :-(

why do you go to http://www.nyu.edu/op/heop.html and ask the admission officer? They usually get back to you in 12 hrs.

To go to law school, it doesn't matter what you major in. Most law schools actually prefer it when you don't take many "law classes". You will learn law in law school. Your undergrad is for obtaining a vast array of knowledge. So, from what i've gathered through my research: you should major in something you enjoy, but something you can also get good grades in. As far as getting into a top law school, i've only found hard numbers for NYU Law, ranked 4 in the country i think (tied with Columbia). About 1 of 7 students from NYU law went to NYU for their undergrad.

Hope this helped. :0)
